This piece was commissioned as a wedding gift by a friend of the couple. The bride played the violin and the groom, the trumpet. The musical score that is woven between them is the first measure of a tune that was written by the groom for the bride. The musical notes are sand carved into black and white flashed glass. I sandwiched amber glass and mirror together so the trumpet would appear shiny and I used brass wire to represent the strings. The background is handmade, full antique light grey crackle.
