HERON FLIGHT This free standing screen was sand carved on 1/2 in. thick plate glass and mounted on a solid cherry light box (not shown). The lightbox illuminated the piece from the bottom edge highlighting the very deep carving. The top edge was sculpted with a diamond band saw to follow the contour of the design.
