These clients were looking for a way to add both art and privacy to their contemporary home. The glasses are mouth blown full antique with the exception of the blue, which perfectly matches an adjacent tile wall. The other primary glass is a layered, or flashed, glass into which I sand carved profiles of small children emerging from around the center, an homage to their own small children and to work they do with child welfare groups. I incorporated faceted glass and crystal jewels to create rainbows. The piece is framed in such a way that if they ever decide to move it can be easily removed.
